About Me
My name is Ryan Kosack, I am 21 years old, and I have been playing baseball for approximately 16 years now. I am currently going into my senior year at North Central College in Naperville, IL. I graduated from Plainfield South High School in 2006. As a 3 year varsity letter winner, I started behind the plate for the Cougars during my Junior and Senior seasons making the All-Conference team both years. After a knee injury limited my playing time my Freshman year at NCC, I made a full recovery starting 34 games at first base in my Sophomore season. I ended the season batting .350 with 3 home runs, 8 doubles (team high), and a slugging percentage of .475.
The drills used in each individual lesson come directly from our college work-out plan, though they are simplified for the younger students. A lesson consists of an evaluation of the swing, breakdown of the different aspects of the swing, and drills that will help improve any weaknesses. My main focus is to teach quickness, power, and explosiveness. Power does not necessarily refer to hitting home runs, it refers to hitting the ball hard and solid every time.
