To see if we access to an article full-text...
Additional ways to locate if the library has access to the full-text of an article is to use the JournalFinder. - How it works: the Journal Finder
lets the research know if the library has access to ONLY Full-Text
articles. These can be either online (in a database) or in print
(housed on the 2nd floor).
- For
Example: You are researching in a reference source or book and find an article that you think may be useful. Use the
footnotes or bibliography to help you locate a JOURNAL from that
bibliography and see if the library has access to it.
- Here's what you found: Fischer, David Hackett. 2004. "The Spirit of '76." American Heritage 2004 55(1): 36-43.
- In the search box for the Journal Finder, type the name of the journal/publication (NOT ARTICLE): American Heritage. This will locate the databases the journal is in. It can also tell you if we get the journal in print. Most
important... unlike the catalog, the Journal Finder will give you the
option to link into the database(s) the article may be found in.
