(8 September 2009) CONGRATULATIONS!All of us worked very well during last year and we earned celebration :) Our kids and we successfully concluded the spring semester 2009; and now we start our summer program. During summer period we would meet regulary on Wednesdays and go to field trips. (13 June 2009) Easter Egg HuntThe weather was not the best for an Egg Hunt, but kids still had lots of fun! Picture... ;) (8 May 2009) Easter egg hunt at Hampton University on Saturday, April 11, 2009 from noon till 3 p.m. For more information please check the flyer. (7 April 2009) 1-st anniversary!After our class on Feb 18 we have celebrated our 1-st anniversary! Of course, with a cake and a candle ;)
(24 Feb 2009) Happy Birthday!On February 14, 2009, our Russian Toddlers Club in Newport News, VA, will turn 1 year! It has been a very active year for all of us. We have learned many new things, we met several new families, and we became close friends. Happy Birthday! During our next meeting, which will be held on February 18, we will celebrate our first anniversary!!!!! (13 Feb 2009) Back to school after Christmas Holidays!I am very glad we are back to school after long (1.5 months!) Christmas and New Year Holidays! Everybody is happy and looking forward to our first meeting in the new calendar year. One family left our group because of relocation, but we have a new friend coming! (3 Feb 2009) New 2009 Year PartyOn December 13, 2008 we have organized a celebration of New 2009 Year for Russian speaking kids. The party was held at Salina's house. We had real (!) Ded Moroz, Snegurochka, Zayka and Baba Yaga! Thanks a lot to all parents for organization and participation! :)
(28 Feb 2009) New semester starts!I am very happy to announce beginning of our new school semester :) Our fist meeting will be held at Yulia's, on Wednesday September 3rd, at 10 am. Natalya will teach the first class, but if somebody has some nice ideas for our first class, please join me. I plan to repeat with the kids ABC, numbers, to sing a couple of new funny songs, read a story, and propose kids to make a drawing. We will take a first picture of the semester and put it on the web :) (1 Sept 2008) Trip to JamestownOn Saturday, May 3, we went to a historical place in Virginia - Jamestown, world of America’s first permanent English colonists and the Powhatan Indians they encountered. Here are some pictures :) (5 May 2008) Easter Egg HuntLast Saturday, March 22, we went to Easter Egg Hunt, organized at Hampton University. Kids and parents had a lot of fun. The weather was perfect for an outdoor trip: very warm and sunny! Kids loved to have a picnic on the grass. However, the main activity was the EGG HUNT! Here are some pictures :) (22 Mar 2008)

(1 Mar 2008) Trip to Virginia Living MuseumOn Saturday, 16 Feb, we went to the Virginia Living Museum. The kids enjoyed very much the new exhibit "Animal Secrets". Here are some pictures :) (16 Feb 08) Grand OpeningOn Thursday, Feb 14, we are going to start our Russian classes for toddlers! We plan to have weekly 40 minute classes on various topics, with songs, dances, stories and horovoding. We will close with a short cartoon. The first lesson, about fruits, will be taught by Natalya.
