This page is the new home of Russell Lock. I am currently a Lecturer within the computer science department of Loughborough University. In the recent past I have been a post-doctoral researcher at the University of St Andrews. Over the past several years I have been attached to a number of prominent interdisciplinary research projects in the UK including DIRC & INDEED. I have also worked on EU projects including PEPERS. It was suggested to me when I started my PhD back in 2001 by my supervisor Prof Ian sommerville that I should have a website, ok it took me 9 years to get around to it but I've been busy you know :) My research interests include: Dependability of Socio-Technical systems, System, System of System Modelling, Cloud computing, Ontologies, E-counting & Social networking technologies Outside of work I am an avid horse rider (I've been told I look quite dashing, until I actually set off), and cowboy DIY enthusiast. If you reached this page via google you may well note that I am not only a lecturer but apparently also a surgeon and a type of swiss army knife. Ironically I may actually be useful in removing stones from horses shoes. |
