Reason # 10: Running with the Emus gets you out of bed in ANY Rochester weather...because you know that your fellow Emus are counting on you.
Reason #9: Running with the Emus gives you extra incentive needed to achieve your running goals (like running a marathon) because you know others are counting on you.
Reason #8: Running with the Emus causes you to take an interest in other people’s running goals... and you find yourself showing up at races to
cheer fellow Emus on.
Reason #7: Running with the Emus encourages you to “give it your all” at races because you know that others will be cheering for you (and looking at your results).
Reason #6: Running with the Emus inspires you to do crazy things...like race in Emu costumes and make "Emu sounds" right in front of the local news camera man: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjTgdXrRKI8&feature=related.
Reason #5: Running with the Emus inspires you to survive dangerous (even life threatening feats) like following Jim as he leads a group run. (*we need a photo... like something from the infamous "shooting range run" if you could send it Pete?)
Reason #3: Running with the Emus means that you can share advice about how to best cope with common and not so common running “issues” (e.g. Emu Runners Foot)
Reason # 2: Running with the Emus gives you the confidence to “take on” ANYONE anywhere in the animal kingdom .(After training with the Emus, Jorge defeated "Cheetah from Tanzania" in this race, on Cheetah's home turf).
