The Running Emus

Welcome to the home of the Running Emus.
We are an informal running group comprised of runners who have various running goals but a common commitment to encouraging, challenging and supporting one another as we make running fun.
For those of you who are new to this site, don't worry. You do not have to dress like this to run with us. This photo was taken at the 2006 "Run Like Heck" race. For this race we imported Emus from Australia and rode them to victory. It was during this race that the Australian Emu won our respect (as speedy distant runners). The Emus returned home shortly after this race, but we will never forget them. It is in honor of these winning Emus that we proudly call ourselves "The Rochester Running Emus" *
