The Ruidoso Education Association is the exclusive bargaining agent for all employees of the Ruidoso Municipal Schools. Our goals are: 1. To Provide quality educational services to the children of the Ruidoso Municipal Schools; 2. To Advocate for educational professionals as partners in the educational process; 3. To Advocate for fair treatment of faculty and staff of Ruidoso Municipal Schools. On May 7th, 2012 REA completed negotiations with Ruidoso Municipal Schools for a new two year contract. The contract, pending ratification by both parties is set to go into effect July 1, 2012, and remains so until July 1 of 2014. To view the proposed Tentative Agreements click on the link to the left. The Ratification Meeting for Members Only will be held on Wednesday, May 16th at 3:30 pm in the RHS library. We highly encourage all staff and administrators to read and understand the contract, as it contains the terms of our employment with Ruidoso Municipal Schools.
