Alternatively, I have made a distribution that is specifically for DOS. You can find it here. I restructure the directories for convenience.

The highly recommended reference for JPEG compression is Wallace, Gregory's  "The JPEG Still Picture Compression Standard". Alterna-tively, you can choose the smaller and corrected version here. The copyright is reserved by the authors and ACM/IEEE.
