 Seniors with Available Time
Purpose: The S.W.A.T. team was developed to help agencies with special short term projects or events as needed. Often times these request are urgent and volunteers are needed to help out in a pinch at an agency. Example of projects/events that the S.W.A.T. team could assist with: Helping with special events Mass mailings Assemble packages Wrap gifts at holiday times Help with fundraisers School Test Proctoring How to join the S.W.A.T.: Any RSVP volunteer can sign up to the on the S.W.A.T. Notify the RSVP Office that you would like to be added to the S.W.A.T. team. As requests come into the RSVP office, RSVP personnel notify S.W.A.T. team volunteers via email or phone and S.W.A.T. team volunteers respond individually to each request as their schedules allow. How to request assistance from S.W.A.T.: To request assistance from the S.W.A.T. team please notify the RSVP Staff at 704-817-5467 or rsvp1assist@cmseniorcenters.org. The earlier the S.W.A.T. request is sent in the better, suggested time is 4-6 weeks in advance of the project.
