My live-in studio
| This is my studio that since coming out of hospital has become my bedroom. |
This is my studio! This is the corner by the entrance where I pin up posters that inspre me, postcards, photos of me and my friends, patterned paper that I love and things I get sent from friends. I also have up some gorgeous wooden wind chimes that I lurve the sound of whilst I'm working. I also have my small armchair here so that I can sit and read or chill in the dark with the candles on the table lit. The teddy is Albert, I brought him from Hamley's Eons ago.
This is my major big black wall unit that I got for free from a lovely neighbour who moved back to Scotland. All of my candles, ornaments and crystals go in here. When I did drink my booze was kept in the pull down cupboard but now only a couple of dusty bottles remain. The rest is jewellery and dried flowers and other lil bits that I love. You may also be able to make out my three dolls sitting on top of the unit amongst the many photos of me and my friends that I have in this room. This is where I am most lucky. I got the bog fat widescreen tv because the aerial inside the house wasn't working well with it anymore, it has no remote and is very old. However all i want and need it for is my dvds. And as you can see I have quite a few. I have rows of manga on the second shelf and a few littering the others where I could find space. Then on the third and fourth shelf are my animes. I seem to collect mugs in here, I think my studio breeds them :S. And then in the corner you can see my Luis Royo poster, my wolf dreamcatcher and my butterfly lights that I simply love and find essential.
This is just a lil example of the clutter I keep because it inspires me constantly. I have a glass hand used for my rings and other jewellery. I have the fan that one of my best friends (we call each other sis,) got me from Barcelona. There's po-pourri to hide the smell of glue and paint and other arty materials. And the photoframes filled with yet MORE photos.
This is probably where I spend most of my time. This is my massive desk which is right between the door and window. I put up the photo of me and my cat that he posed for for my GCSE art exam. I also have up a Xmas xard that made me want to do a painting of a mother and child, a photo of me under water. A picture my lil cousin made for me, awwww. A card by Selena francis that Angela got me for my birthday. A card from Laura whom I love dearly and a card from my whole uni course class when I went into hospital. I also cannot survive without this laptop! ¬.¬ Note the mug again... I swear my studio breeds them just to make me look bad. There's some form of gremlin or goblin factory in here that makes them.. **looks under the desk** Hmmmm, keep your eyes open in later photos. |
