To the guests of European Orchestra Festival
A few last remarks before you travel to Dalfsen
Do not forget your concert outfit please ( black and white). Do not
forget a black portfolio/case/cardboard to shield your musicscores from
the public and take the original music scores with you for your concerts.
If you can’t take your music stand with you, tell me. Mark the stand
with your name if you take it along (on a key tag for example).
I will have the original music scores for the workshops.
A few things to remember:
The program starts at Thursday evening, 19.30h with the opening
ceremonies and the buffet. Till then there is no program other than the
board meetings and assemblies of the EVL an EAYO. Make sure you can
survive till 20.00 h. In Dalfsen you can find something to eat till the
program starts. In Zwolle you can find a lot more to eat and lots to
see and it is only a 10 km (4 miles) away from Dalfsen. Tell me please
if you will arrive earlier than 14.00 h/2 p.m.
There is a little bus that can drive you from (and to) the station.
Costs are 5 Euro p.p. Phone +31 6 55 89 21 17 , or tell me beforehand by
email. But make sure I noticed your email, please. If you are on the
station it will take the bus some 10-15 minutes to get there.
Most Orchestras come by bus and these buses can be used by the
orchestras to travel to the concert halls. We will provide buses for the
guests who come by train but we might ask a modest contribution of these
orchestras as the other guests have to pay their own buses or cars also.
You payed for your bed, meals, cappuccino, coffee, tea and lemonade in
the afternoon. If you want to drink something in the cafe on Mooirivier
you have to pay for it on the spot. Alcoholic drinks are not allowed
under 16. Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the buildings of
Mooirivier or in a cafe anywhere in the Netherlands. You have smoke outside.
You will get a festivalbook (at Mooirivier) with information over the
orchestras, a time schedule, tourist information, the programs of the
concertos. At the receptiondesk there will be information over the
routes to the concerthalls.

And last but not least.

Buses to Ommen or Dalfsen (both at 6.5 kms) run every half hour (on Sundays and feast-days: on the hour only)
Taxis to Ommen or Dalfsen cost about € 25.00
