Please reacquaint yourself with the posted info below. Many of you chose to ignore what I told you about the class and are now failing miserably. I will not give you a passing grade. You have to earn it.

Grade adjustment for taking AP is not given unless you attempt the AP exam. If you fail, you will have to make up the course as a Jr. history course either as a senior or in summer school.

Welcome to A.P. History. It's like nothing else you've taken at McAdory.  Here's the skinny on what you need to know to succeed this year:

  • We will cover a chapter a week due to the calendar schedule.
  • You ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO read the book. You will not pass the exam if you don't.
  • We will keep a running notebook covering the entire year. You need a large, 3-ring binder.
  • There will be a lot of web based activities. Homework and quizzes will be assigned through this website often. Go ahead and buy printer ink now. I will not accept "My printer was out of ink" as an excuse.
  • You are expected to attempt the A.P. exam at the end of the year.
  • This class is not the "new honors class." It is a real A.P. class. There will be a lot of reading, a lot of essays (3/4 of the A.P. exam is essay) and there is a zero tolerance discipline policy. If you can handle this, it will be the most enjoyable class you ever take.
