Summary
Ricardo has 12 years of professional experience with broad-based skills, developed in Chile and The Netherlands. His background includes successful experience as researcher, lecturer, entrepreneur, leader and consultant. He obtained a M.Sc. with the Highest Distinction from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Then, he was selected from a large number of international candidates for an only Ph.D. student position opened for a research project at the Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands. Ricardo is Founder and Director of BPM Chile, the main BPM center in the country and Latin America. It actually has more than 2000 members (professionals, academics and students) and four successful yearly workshops organized in Chile, which have contributed to the academy and industry. Moreover, he is Founder of Service Innovation Chile, which is the first Service Science (SSME) center in Chile to promote and stimulate the academic and industry collaboration to innovate in the service industry.
Memberships
Ricardo is invited board member of the Business Ecology Initiative (BEI) led by OMG to promote the adoption of Business Process Excellence in the Fortune 1000 companies. He is member of the IEEE Task Force on Process Mining. He is also board member of the Student European Supply Chain Forum (ESCF). Ricardo is also member of ACM, IEEE and the IEEE Computer Society.
