I am a doctoral student in the Department of Electrical Engineering at University of Southern California, working in the Media Communications Lab headed by Professor C.-C. Jay Kuo. My research interests include applying mathematical techniques in multimedia-related problems. The mathematical tools involve statistics, optimization, and machine learning. The multimedia problems include image / video compression and processing, in particular under multiple-core and low power systems.
