Contact the fleet captain (see first paragraph at link to Home above) to receive race email, including notification of changes in the race course or schedule.  The course also may be changed at the start based on conditions.

Rowers always can choose to row closer to shore than a course requires, for example, in rougher water.  Distances are for the courses shown on the map.

Always keep your own time and email it to the person designated by the fleet captain.

Bridge Race
 around specific Oceanic Bridge piling(s) and back
Distance:  ~10.5 km

1. Start line - between (red) buoy 24 and south shore
   
2. East between south shore and navigation buoys, including (green) buoy 17
   
3. Under Oceanic Bridge through any span south of the two northern-most wide spans
4. Return through either of the two northern-most wide spans - necessary to avoid collisions under the bridge
5. West between north shore and navigation buoys, including (red) buoy 20; pass no closer to (green) buoy 21 than five boat lengths
   
6. Finish line - within five boat lengths of Stavola's point, at the south end of Blossom Cove, on a line south between it and MBC; if a marker is placed on race days, then between Stavola's point and the marker

Head Race
 from (green) buoy 17 back
Distance:  ~ 4.5 km

1. Start line - between (green) buoy 17 and north shore
   
2. West between north shore and navigation buoys, including (red) buoy 20; pass no closer to (green) buoy 21 than five boat lengths
   
3. Finish line - within five boat lengths of Stavola's point, at the south end of Blossom Cove, on a line south between it and MBC; if a marker is placed on race days, then between Stavola's point and the marker

Short Race
 around (red) buoy 18 and back
Distance:  ~ 6.5 km

1. Start line - between (red) buoy 24 and south shore
   
2. East between south shore and navigation buoys
   
3. Around (red) buoy 18; cut as straight as possible across channel to minimize time in it
   
4. West between north shore and navigation buoys, including (red) buoy 20; pass no closer to (green) buoy 21 than five boat lengths
   
5. Finish line - within five boat lengths of Stavola's point, at the south end of Blossom Cove, on a line south between it and MBC; if a marker is placed on race days, then between Stavola's point and the marker

Inner Loop
 around (red) buoy 20 or (green) buoy 19 back to the start at (red) buoy 24 or other finish line
    the number of loops in the race and the finish line will be specified at the start
Distance:  ~ 4.5 km for one buoy 20 loop, ~ 5.2 km for one buoy 19 loop, ~ 1 km less to finish at
    Stavola's point instead of rounding MBC's mooring field and finishing at buoy 24

1. Start line - between (red) buoy 24 and south shore
   
2. East between south shore and navigation buoys, including (green) buoy 17
   
3. Around (red) buoy 20; cut as straight as possible across channel to minimize time in it
   
4. West between north shore and navigation buoys; pass no closer to (green) buoy 21 than five boat lengths
   
5. Pass within five boat lengths of Stavola's point, at the south end of Blossom Cove, on a line south between it and MBC; if a marker is placed on race days, then between Stavola's point and the marker
6. Finish loop at the start line or at the finish line - within five boat lengths of Stavola's point, at the south end of Blossom Cove, on a line south between it and MBC; if a marker is placed on race days, then between Stavola's point and the marker
