Loch Lomond and the Trossachs is an area of outstanding scenic beauty and a colourful history.  Mountains, rivers, lochs and glens make it perfect for all kinds of outdoor activities including hill walking, bird watching, woodland walks, golf, cycling, horse riding, sailing, canoeing,  fishing or simply for just relaxing.

  • There are many good walks within the area from the short local Doon Hill and Fairy Knowe walk to the long West Highland Way which runs from Milngavie north along the east shore of Loch Lomond to Fort William.
  •  David Marshall Lodge Visitor Centre in Aberfoyle has magnificant views, forest walks, coffee shop, gift shop and adventure playground. 
  • The historic steamship Sir Walter Scott sails on Loch Katrine every day.
  • Inchmahome Priory is an Augustinian Monastery (founded in 1238 with much surviving), beautifully situated on an island in the middle of the Lake of Mentieth. Daily crossings by ferry.
  • Callander (about 9 miles away) has a range of traditional and modern shops, the Rob Roy Visitor Centre,  a sports and leisure centre and local golf course.
  • Blair Drummond Safari and Leisure Park offers close up views of animals from all over the world plus an adventure playground, boat safaris and restaurants.  

Within a 30 minute drive you can visit Stirling, Loch Katrine or Loch Lomond.
