Biography of a Drill Horse
Hi, my name is
Pandoras Mist, but everybody calls me Blondie. I’m an 8-year old palomino (yes,
you guessed right) quarter horse. I’m not sure if I like the name Blondie, but
I haven’t heard any jokes about blonde horses yet!
This is my third
year in the Rough Rider drill team and my human is really happy with me. She
says I am a lot more dependable than my two Arabian stable mates that she rode
in drill before she got me. She found me on a pasture doing nothing for 2,5
years when she bought me as a 5-year old and now I’m getting all the attention
I missed out on.
I sometimes help
my rider out during drill when she forgets the next maneuver. Humans just have
too much on their mind and forget things sometimes. But I also learned to cheat
and cut corners. I love to show off at parades and don’t spook easy.
We both love drill
and it keeps us in great shape all year round.
