The Rough Riders Equestrian Drill Team was formed in 2001, in Idaho, as a co-ed equestrian drill team. The membership represents a wide variety of backgrounds, occupations, and ages. 

We ride with two main goals:

1.  To foster teamwork and sportsmanship through the mastery of drill maneuvers

2.  To enjoy the camaraderie of fellow equine enthusiasts.

We perform at parades, exhibitions, and competitions throughout Southern Idaho. We practice at the Idaho Center in Nampa, ID on Monday evenings starting in the spring and twice monthly during the winter months at Birt Arena, also in Nampa.

New members are welcome to come and try the team out during the months of January and February.  You may also join us after our last performance in September until we take a break sometime around the middle of November or end of October.  Your first ride is free and then you will need to become a member if you choose.  Please see our Membership Application located in our Documents section on the bottom of the sidebar.  We would like to encourage other riders to try the thrilling sport of equestrian drill team riding.
