Meet the Hikers: Desirée Kosciulek

| Desirée is from New Mexico, in the US, where she studied at the University of New Mexico as an undergraduate. She is currently a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, studying for her MA in Development Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, as well as working part-time as a Research Assistant for the South African NGO Noah (Nurturing Orphans of AIDS for Humanity). Desirée is passionate about HIV/AIDS issues, especially relating to children, and believes that this hike will help others throughout the world to understand the magnitude of the HIV/AIDS crisis, and be inspired to do something about it. |
