By the year 2010, there will be over 20 million aids orphans living in the continent of Africa, alone.  Over 19.5 million of these orphans will not have proper housing, food, etc. For more information on HIV/AIDS, and the importance of the hike click here.

On December 1, 2007 (World AIDS Day), we left from Daveyon NOAH Ark in Johannesburg, and embarked on a 21 day journey via Mpumalanga to Durban in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa (roughly 800km/500 miles).  During the hike we visited various Rotary Clubs and their HIV/AIDS projects which benefit orphans and vulnerable children, including Noah (Nurturing Orphans of AIDS for Humanity) Ark sites. Working together with Rotaractors, Rotarians, and other kind people the world over, we are raising awareness about HIV/AIDS, as well as money for HIV/AIDS projects for orphans and vulnerable children. Along the way we made a documentary which should be completed by March 2008, but in the mean time please visit our blog to read more about the hike.
