MessSearch in MoMa Publication

The MessSearch has been featured in the book accopanying the 'Talk To Me' exhibition organised by Paola Antonelli and Kate Carmody at MoMa in New York. The book is beautiful with matte black pages and glossy images and is full of fascinating projects. The MessSearch is on page 47, next to the New York MetroCard vending machine.

Sight Line on In Touch

The Sight Line project was the subject of last night's In Touch program on BBC Radio 4. A reporter followed one of the project participants, Sandi Wassmer, on the route we took during the research (almost a year ago) and three of the other participants, Dick Groves, Tony Kingsnorth and Mark Pemberton participated in a panel discussion.

The program is available on the i-player here (for the next week).

A follow up program is planned for the 16th of November.

Architecture for Humanity Honourable Mention

Seeded, a proposal for street furniture to enliven vacant lots, received joint second place in the Architecture for Humanity Chicago Street Furniture competition. The project was a collaboration with Isabel Lizardi. You can see our proposal, and the rest of the finalists here.

HHC First Day

I officially started working for the Helen Hamlyn Centre at the RCA on Thursday. I am doing a project sponsored by CABE Space called Sightline. It is about the way people with visual impairments navigate in public spaces. It runs for a year 3 days a week.

I attended the 10th symposium of the Helen Hamlyn Centre Research Associate program at the RCA on Thursday. All of this years Research Associated presented their work which was almost all of a very high standard. I made some visual notes which are available to download below in high resolution.
