Nordstrom Internship Graduates 2007

    In the Summer of 2007 I had the opportunity to be apart of the Nordstrom Northern California Summer Internship Program.  I was assigned a mentor manager from the Brass Plum department at Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco.  Because I had been previously employed with Nordstrom I took on a co-manager role immediately.  From my co-manager I learned how to make a schematic, I helped in both the hiring and firing process, and put on the BP Fashion Show the first Saturday of the sale to drive business. 

The internship also alloted us half days shadowing the Systems Information manager, Visual Merchandising manager, Human Resources manager, and the Loss Prevention manager.  Learning the basics of each specializations was helpful in that it gave me a greater understanding of why our partnerships are important to the company.
