Roser Thrift Shop to Mark 15th Anniversary May 10
The Roser Guild’s Thrift Store on Anna Maria Island will commemorate its 15th anniversary on Thursday, May 10, with light refreshments outside of the store from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is invited to stop by for a snack and to see what the store has to offer.
The Roser Thrift Store is located across the street from Roser Community Church, 512 Pine Avenue in Anna Maria.
Thrift Store hours are Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m.-Noon.
The store is closed to shoppers on Wednesdays, but is open 9 a.m.-Noon to accept donations of “nice clean clothes and other items.” The store does not accept furniture, TVs or microwaves.
The Guild Thrift Store is an all-volunteer operation which has been managed by Margaret Art from its inception. It is staffed by the Roser Women’s Guild. Proceeds allow the Guild to underwrite scholarships, community programs and provide significant support annually to Roser Community Church.
All of this comes from the sales of such items as 50-cent used caps, 10-cent used tableware, and three-dollar used shirts. Also, available in the store are small appliances, comforters, bed spreads, jewelry, magazines, books and much, much more.
