My apartment in Sulmona

Description

The apartment is made of one double bedroom, one living room (with sofa bed and a separate wardrobe), kitchen, bathroom. Recently refurbished, it offers good value for money and easy access to what Sulmona and the surrounding areas have to offer. There is a bar across the road for your cappuccinos and espressos (& more) and a supermarket (GS Supermarket, Via L'Aquila) only 2 min walk away (check out the well stocked deli counter).

Area: ideally situated in the Zona Cappuccini, close to Strada Statale 17 (SS17 - regional road).

Skiing

The SS17 is perfect for reaching the skiing resorts of Passo San Leonardo,
Aremogna - Monte Pratello -Pescocostanzo-Pizzalto - Rivisondoli - Roccaraso, Campo di Giove and Pescasseroli.

Other nearby skiing resorts include Scanno,
Campo Imperatore - Campo Felice,

Seaside

Easily reachable via road in approximately 40 minutes. Below just a selection of places:

Martinsicuro, Alba Adriatica, Tortoreto Lido, Giulianova, Roseto, Pineto, Silvi Marina, Marina di Citta' S. Angelo, Montesilvano, Pescara, Francavilla, Ortona & many more...

Spas

Worth a note the termal resorts of Popoli (only a short bus ride/few minutes' drive from my apartment!), Raiano and Caramanico Terme.

Arts & Culture etc etc:

The list of places to visit is far too long to list here! Abruzzo is made of wonderful medieval villages, art cities like Sulmona, L'Aquila, Teramo, Chieti, sleepy villages and buzzying skii resorts. Whether you are interested in sports (skiing, canoeing, scuba diving), food & drink (gastonomic tours/wine tasting are available throughout the region), history & culture, Abruzzo has something for everyone...
