Game Cocks-2004-2006:

Cincinnati Bengals-2006-2009:

Joseph's first name has been spelled 2 different ways. It has been spelled Jonathan and Johnathan, as seen on the 2 cards below. For the record, the corect way is Johnathan.

Joseph has played with 2 former South Carolina Gamecocks. One was former Bengals Defensive Tackle Shaun Smith, and the other was former Bengals QB Anthony Wright

Joseph was born in the same town, and was a high school and college teammate of Buffalo Bills CB Ko Simpson, who was drafted in the 4th Round of the 2006 NFL Draft, the same year as Joseph.

South Carolina, where Joseph played college, has a couple rivalries, which have produced a couple NFL players that have played with Joseph. One of the newest rivals is the Georgia Bulldogs, which have produced 4 NFL players so far, but only 2 are still on the roster. Joseph has played with former Bulldogs David Pollack, Robert Geathers, Odel Thurman and Dennis Roland.

South Carolina also plays the Tennessee Volunteers during the annual "Halloween Game". In 2006, Joseph got to play with former Volunteer Kelley Washington.

On a negative note, Joseph was arrested in northern Kentucky on January 22, 2007, and was charged with marijuana possession. He was the 9th Bengals player to be arrested in the last 9 months. By the way, to tie this into sports (I am not at all making light of his arrest at all) Kentucky is an SEC rival of the Gamecocks of South Carolina, where Joseph played college ball.
