About Me

I enjoyed my academic life working in a number of universities. After obtaining my Masters degree in Information Technology and PhD in science in 1976, I was teaching and researching at the Institute of Informatics and at Gdansk University in Poland.  After my arrival in Australia in 1980 I continued my academic career at La Trobe and Melbourne Universities (Research Fellow), at Swinburne University of Technology (Senior lecturer) and till recently as honorary researcher at Monash University.

My academic interest regards artificial intelligence, in particular complex adaptive systems and philosophy of artificial intelligence. I published two books and many conference and journal papers.

Currently I am retired, but I continue my interest in science and philosophy, especially philosophy of mind and cosmology.

I also studied fine art at Philip Institute and I still maintain my interest in art. I am for years  an enthusiastic photographer.
