Clinic Volunteers: 
  • We will need medical and non-medical volunteers for numerous activities
    • you may leave a message at (706) 232-3408 if you would like to volunteer
    • Come by and talk to us on Thursday, Friday or Saturday

  • Help us Update our clinic community health access guide
  • Help Us do a community Chlamydia Project
  • Help Organize monthly meetings, “Chick Flic” nights-
    • Do invitation lists, refreshments, etc-write out discussion questions for the movies shown
  • Help work on newsletter, submit articles
  • Help with mail merge list for our contacts
  • Organize our Feminist Library and look for great new resources
  • Help clean/Decorate clinic
  • Coordinate with other Feminist groups to do Reproductive Justice Lobbying
  • Help liason with other Georgia women’s groups
  • Research and writing for Grant writing
  • Collect facts regarding women’s health care – to update our State of Georgia’s Women fact sheets
  • Annual Inventory of Equipment and update when new equipment/furniture is received
  • Help call churches re: bulletin notices
  • Help form volunteer contact lists and assist with social networking projects
  • Hispanic volunteer coordinator
  • Identify local women’s group to help

 

Do polls & monitor status of local women

  • Help monitor local women’s access to health care—monitor health care costs in Rome:
    • for paps, medications, birth control access, pregnancy tests, STD tests, etc.
  • Are our local women getting baby friendly services?
  • Are our local women educated about:
    • new mammography guidelines
    • Or the new Pap screening guidelines? 
  • Monitor insurance access & coverage for preventative health care
    • Help us sign eligible women up for family planning Medicaid
