of Fallbrook, CA

Hi I am Frank Messina, our Romeo group has been meeting for over two years now. I started to have lunch with another three friends, then they brought other neighbors and friends. Our first meetings were dominated by the fact that we are nearly all "Farmers". Actually we have Avocado trees on our properties, and attempt to raise and sell them profitably. Not an easy task. We meet on the first and third Thursday of each month. Eating at the Fallbrook Golf Course Restaurant, called the "Hukilau." There are now 15 members on our notification list, which is done by E-mail. Our meetings now rarely discuss avocados, and are as varied as can be. We do discuss our vacations and offer information on ships, lodging, weather, etc. Although we total 15 members, we usually are about 10-12 attendees, and during the summer even as low as 6 members attend. We are all retired, of course. Before retirement I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, my Offices were located in Palo Alto, San Carlos, CA. I was a registered California Architect, Co-founded the San Mateo County Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and was a Rotarian for nearly 50 years. I have seen the light of day for over 80 years. Harry Davies, is our oldest and a former US Navy Officer and Captain of several ships during WWII. We meet at the "Hukilau" and like it there, because it's quiet, and reasonably priced. The club has no dues, we order and buy our own food. I send out "Reminders," and lately I even get replies, Such as "Sorry, Doctors Appointment," "Grandchild visiting" etc. Our members include: Aero-Space Engineers, Pilots, a Former Marine Physician, Teachers, Advertising Executive, Business Executives, Contractor, and an Architect.

If you are in the Fallbrook area and would like to join us contact Frank by e-mail.

Attached is a pdf flyer for a rally in Sacramento on April 4th (just need Adobe to open, which is free). The flyer is a call to action and a request for support from Assemblyman Tim Donnelly.

Hope you'll take the time to read this. If you are not inclined to go to Sacramento, perhaps someone you know can. This is a call to help stop the funding of higher education for illegal aliens and to support AB 26, an Arizona type law for California. Please open this attachment and pass it on!

Hi ROMEO's,
Not a lot of attendance at the "Planes of Fame, but a great 4 hour docent tour and a huge lunch at "Flo's"
We "DID" have a regular meeting on Thursday, the day after the Chino Tour !
I will be taking pictures of those Romeo's, who are not depicted on our E-Mail list.
Also need to know if the following list wishes to continue to receive, and/or attend future
notices of our upcoming meetings, events, etc.
Please let me know..................
Thanks,

Frank Jon Messina
