 Norman J. Maranto is originally from Anguilla, MS where he graduated from Anguilla High School in 1969.  He attended Belhaven College in Jackson, MS and graduated with a degree in accounting.  He accepted a position with the Internal Revenue Service in Greenwood, MS and would later make moves to Gulfport, Jackson and then back to Greenwood. He retired on August 31, 2007 with 35 years of service.
Norman was baptized and became a Christian on August 25, 1976 and began what has been a life long quest for bible knowledge.       

He has served as a Deacon in the Belvedere Congregation in Jackson and also the West President Street Congregation in Greenwood for over 12 years.  He also served as an Elder in the West President Street Congregation for over 10 years. Norman has served as Missions Director, Education Director and has taught every Bible class age group. Norman and his wife, the former Joyce Miller of Rolling Fork, MS had prayed that in their retirement years they could assist a small church.  Who would have thought that Norman's desire to serve would bring him right back to Joyce's home congregation in Rolling Fork where he first heard the gospel.  Norman and Joyce have two children; Tabitha and Derrick.  Tabitha lives in Seattle,WA with her husband, Dr. Chad Farley.  They have two children; Stewart and Kirston.  Derrick is a minister of the Gospel in Amory, MS. He and his wife, the former Leslie Walker of Senatobia have two children; Walker and Braden.
