GUIDANCE PROGRAM

Mrs. Platania, the guidance counselor, enjoys working with the students, parents and teachers of Rolesville Elementary.  She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Education degree in School Counseling. Mrs. Platania enjoys working at Rolesville Elementary because it is a caring school family committed to help children reach their potential.

Mrs. Platania works with:

STUDENTS :  Individually and in small groups to discuss school adjustment issues, feelings and personal problems resulting in a positive self-concept and success in school.

PARENTS:  To explore parenting skills and offer suggestions to maximize school success for their children resulting in a cooperative home school connection

TEACHERS:  To coordinate guidance activities and to help when students experience problems resulting in a more positive learning environment.
