Social Activities
- 5th - 8th grade dance (at least one school dance - usually in January)
- 5th - 8th grade ice skating (part of our fundraiser prize program)
Member Elections
- Held the last week of school in May
- All interested students will sign up with homeroom teacher
- Election vote = 1/3 peer vote, 1/3 staff vote, 1/3 staff evaluation
- New council members will be announcedat year-end awards assembly
Officer Elections
- Held the first week of school at kick-off afternoon meeting
- All interested members will sign up in Mrs. Farris' room first week of school on Wednesday, August 18 or Thursday, August 19.
- President = 8th grade council member
- Vice President, Historian, and Secretary = 6th, 7th, or 8th grade council member
- Each member may run for one or two offices
- Anyone running for office will give a speech to the rest of the council at kick-off meeting
- All members will vote for officer elections
- New offficers will be announced at the end of the meeting.
