Rhodes
Island is the largest islands of the Dodecanese, and its capital, the
magnificent medieval city of Rhodes, is the capital of the prefecture
of the Dodecanese. Because of its size and of its historical and
geographical importance, Rhodes has a plethora of interesting
archaeological sites, beautiful ruins, valuable Byzantine churches and
impressive Venetian fortresses. Wonderful beaches are completing this
appealing picture. This section of the island of Rhodes provides much information:
flights, ferries, car rentals, bike rentals, scuba diving, bars, night
clubs, real estate and many more such a large range of hotels.
The village of Lindos is a medieval town. It worths a visit. It has
cobblestone streets and all the old medieval buildings. However, like
every other tourist location in the world, it has lost some of its
charm due to the multiudes of tourist shops and peddlers. People also
take donkey rides up from the village to the top of the Lindos
acropolis. It's not that difficult of a walk, just make sure you bring
water with you.

| Symi
is one of the islands of the Dodecanese group, to which Rhodes also
belongs. Your first glimpse of its perfectly-formed harbour presents
you with a visually satisfying view of a perfectly preserved Venetian
port. Its wonderful houses and buildings huddle together as they cling
to the steeply rising hill on which they are built. Symi has a unique
beauty, unsullied by the modern developments that can be found on some
other islands. Once many of its old houses were ruins, but today they
have caught the interest of people looking for a property of character
to renovate, always in keeping with the local architectural heritage.
