About the Instructors
Rod and Lisa Preble are a husband and wife team.  Both are certified black belts who believe in treating each person as a unique individual.  They believe a warm, friendly, supportive atmosphere is necessary for each person to reach their full potential.

Rod is a fourth degree black belt.  During the day he is an aerospace engineer.  Rod has been teaching martial arts to adults and children for 30 years and has founded martial arts schools in California and Australia.

Lisa is a fifth degree black belt.  In 25 years of martial arts training, Lisa has founded several martial arts schools and has many tournament championships to her credit.  She has advanced degrees in psychology and human resources.  Rod and Lisa have six children.

Both Rod and Lisa's rank were awarded by Grandmaster Duk Sung Son, 9th Dan.  Two articles about Grandmaster Son and our style of Tae Kwon Do are attached at bottom of this page.

Class Information
The goal of Tae Kwon Do training in our style, Chung Do Kwan, is the full development of an individual's physical potential.  Concentration is in the study of blocks, kicks and punches designed to develop skill in the Korean art of self-defence.  Although the unification of mind, body, and spirit is central to any martial art, the emphasis at Rocky Mountain Chung Do Kwan is the mastery of Tae Kwon Do through vigorous physical training.

A class information handout can be downloaded from this page below under "Attachments."
