I'M OUTSIDE LOS ANGELES.  HOW DO I PICK A GOOD CONTRACTOR?
Check references.  Make sure the contractor is licensed to work in your state, and insured for
liability and workers compensation. Sign a written contract with progress payments and specifications of the work to be done.
You might get a lower price by hiring someone unlicensed, but your state's contractors board cannot help you
with a problem about job completion or quality of workmanship, even if you have paid for the work.

Don't mess with amateurs who build waterfalls or pools as a part-time job. It takes artistic talent,

Man-made rockwork is more versatile when executing complex designs. Real boulders limit the type of structure you can create.
