Marguerite (1951 - 2008).  Marguerite died from a stroke on 21st January 2008 with all her family around her. She had had a wonderfully creative life up until her first stroke in 1998, having been a weaver and spinner, craft teacher, Anglican Lay Reader and inspiration to all who knew her. In her last inactive years she enjoyed visiting Blakehill - and every summer from 1999 onwards we spent a lovely week at Holton Lee, a short stay Respite Centre for disabled people and their carers on the edge of Poole Harbour. Thank you if you sent a contribution - I collected £600 for Holton Lee in Marguerite's memory.  The money has contributed to a wheelchairable boardwalk to a viewing platform in the reedbeds at the edge of Lytchett Bay - something Mag would have loved to go on. Access to the site is by permission only, it is part of the 350 acre Holton Lee estate where disabled people can spend short stays in some of the most beautiful countryside in England, despite it being on Poole's doorstep.
