Farmville tool to get the most out of your harvest

posted Dec 29, 2009 11:55 AM by Hendricus Robijn

How to use:
1. Type in your current level at 'My current level is...'
2. Select the 'Desired harvest date'
3. Select the 'Desired harvest time'

The used format for date is the 'Dutch' format: Day - Month - Year
This can be changed to your liking, if you know what you are doing.
Changing the date layout could cause formulas to cease working.

What does it do?
This little tool will select the most profitable crop to grow in the desired time to harvest. So that means you get the most bucks in the amount of time you are willing to wait for your crops to grow.

Errors?
If the sheet isn't making any calculations, check if Excel automaticaly updates calculations. Where to find this setting is for each version of Excel different. If you don't know how to set this setting, then just press F9 if Excel is stubborn.

If you get the message 'A little too impatient aren't you?' then your desired harvest time is to near in the future. The smallest time to harvest is 2 hours.

If you get the message 'Try to grow an oak.' then your desired harvest time is too far in the future. The longest time to harvest is 92 hours (4 days). For those who dived this by 24 will notice that the world turns a little bit faster at FarmVille. One day takes 23 hours instead of 24.

If you get no results and no messages, then there is no crop that meets your desired harvest time. The chance of that happening is small, because I build in a margin. If it happens and the previous errors didn't occur, then change the 'Desired harvest time' one hour earlier or later.

If any other errors occur that aren't described here, then I have no clue. This Excel sheet was made on a Apple iMac with Microsoft Excel 2008 and tested on Windows XP with Microsoft Excel 2007. To preserve the most compatibility I used commonly used functions and a commonly used file format. So if this sheet doesn't work on your computer, blame Bill Gates or his monkey Steve Balmer.

This Excel sheet may be altered to your liking and spread around the world with out permission or any form of payment.

PLEX Launcher for Mac will switch your primary display to your second screen and open PLEX. After you close PLEX, PLEX Launcher will switch displays to it's original position.
At first launch the PLEX Launcher will ask for the location of PLEX.

Known issues:
  • Will alter position of your screens (no fix)
PLEX Launcher is Donation ware, which means that if you like the application it is appreciated to show your gratitude. How? You could send me a nice e-card to my mail address Hendricusrobijn.spammail[at]gmail.com or buy me a nice hot cup of coffee, by donating thru paypal (see link on the left side).
