Who's Rob Gemini?

Privacy concerns and modesty prohibit me from revealing my full name, but you may call me Rob.

Where's RobGemini?

I'm near the "Miracle Mile" of Folsom Street, in San Francisco's amazing and dramatically-changing SOMA (South of Market) neighborhood. I'm just a short walk from Civic Center, Moscone Center and Yerba Buena Gardens, and Union Square. Several bus lines pass within a block of my house, offering convenient and frequent access to all parts of San Francisco.

Within 1-2 blocks of my house, I now have restaurants featuring the following cuisines:

Pizza, Italian, Mexican, Fondue, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, and a noodle joint. Oh, and a new authentic French bakery, which is entirely TOO good!

What does RobGemini do?

I retired from corporate life in 2000 and devote my time to volunteer work and travel, mostly. Visit the following web sites to discover my volunteer outlets:

Why do I love San Francisco so much? Check out the Convention & Visitors web site: http://www.sanfrancisco.travel/

Contact RobGemini: I'm not stupid enough to put my email address here on the page. You can figure it out, though. It's the name you see at the top of the page, followed by an '@' and then AY-OH-EL DOT COM. Got it?

My ghost walks receive a fair amount of press. For example, see this article from SF Appeal, an online newspaper:

Here's an interview with the local PBS outlet, KQED:

I'm proud to support "Allegiance: A New Musical," written by my friends, the amazing and talented Jay Kuo and Lorenzo Thione. Here's the cast onstage at the world premiere in the Old Globe Theater, San Diego. Broadway previews began in October 2015, and opening night is November 8!

I'm a muse.... sort of! I met author Rhonda Roberts from Australia a few years ago, when she called City Guides to request a private walking tour of downtown San Francisco. I was the lucky guide who volunteered to lead the tour. It turns out that she was actually "scouting" the location and history of the city in preparation for a new book featuring her time-stalking private eye, Kannon Dupree. See the images below, including a lovely mention in the Acknowledgements. Click the images to see larger versions.

I don't want this to become a commercial site, but I don't mind promoting the efforts of friends. If you'd like to buy Rhonda's book, or any of the others featuring Kannon Dupree, visit these websites:
