Over the years, AOL has blocked e-mails from whole ranges of ISP addresses for little or no reason. First, they blocked my EROLS account. I called AOL and they said that someone was sending SPAM from an EROLS address, so they were blocking all e-mail from EROLS. Eventually, AOL fixed the problem, but not for months. This is no way to do business.
I am not responsible for AOL’s periodically blocking e-mails from various internet service providers (ISPs) as has happened recently. Because of one alleged SPAM incident from ONE subscriber, AOL has apparently blocked e-mail access from all subscribers from my ISP. This has happened more than once and is rather annoying. AOL’s over-active policy in this regard makes it hard for AOL users to communicate with the “outside” world. This is contrary to what the internet is all about.
Recently, AOL has been blocking almost ALL e-mail from MSN HOTMAIL accounts, apparently for similar reasons. On another occasion they blocked e-mails from YAHOO. Please DO NOT SEND me e-mails from AOL addresses. I cannot respond to them.
If you use AOL, please provide me with a “real” (non-AOL) e-mail address so we can insure consistent communication.
You can obtain FREE WEB-BASED E-MAIL from www.hotmail.com, www.yahoo.com or www.gmail.com. These can be accessed from any computer in the world using any browser.
Note also that this website may not display properly on the AOL browser.

I am told by long-time AOL users that this is a common problem with the AOL browser, which has many unique features incompatible with some websites. The good news is, apparently, that once the AOL browser is loaded and you are logged on to AOL, you can run other browsers such as EXPLORER or NAVIGATOR.
Give it a try and let me know the results. From my limited experience with AOL browsers, you’ll find it a lot faster to access the internet using NETSCAPE or EXPLORER. |
