03 July 2009. Measure twice, cut once. Foam should be at 101.75 in. Apparently the Length Over-all was not that far off! So I cleaned up the boo-boos left behind and finished Chapter 5 for real.
22 May 2009. Fuselage side ends, electrical channel all built up. Just need to trim front and back ends, cut out the spar channel, and Ch.5 is a fond memory!
25 Apr 2009. Foam for fuselage sides, on jigs now nailed down. 15 Apr 2009. Fuselage side jigs, almost ready for foam. 12 Apr 2009. Reinforcements floxed onto the longerons, nailed in place, weighted down, and ready to cure for 24h. 10 Apr 2009. Fuselage jigs FJA, FJB, and FJC, nailed to worktable surface. I'm using two EAA standardized work tables butted end-to-end, leveled, with 3-foot wide plywood screwed to the surface. |
