The safari, stretched over 12 to 14 days, will cover 1500kms of hilly terrain of the Jammu Shivaliks, foot hills of the Pir Panjal and the western Himalayas. Though the safari has been limited to 12 days, it might stretch few days more due to breakdowns road and weather conditions. Remember we will be in the himalayas.
The route of Roarima has been divided into 6 sections, according to the terrain and logistics & distance. Every effort has been made to keep the riding stretch comfortable.
Section 1 Day 1:- Jammu-Akhnoor-Sunderbani-Rajouri.
Day 2:-Rajouri-Budhal-Reasi.
Section 2 Day 3:-Reasi-Katra-Udhampur-Ramnagar-Kulwanta.
Day 4:-Kulwanta-Dudu-Mantalai-Sudhmahadev-Chenani-Kud-Patnitop.
Section 3 Day 5:-Patnitop-Batote-Kishtwar.
Section 4 Day 6:-Kishtwar-Gulabgarh-Killar (Pangi).
Day 7,8:-Explore Pangi and its sub valleys (Dharwas, Hudan, Sural etc).
Section 5 Day 9:-Killar (Pangi)-Sansari-Paddar-Kishtwar.
Section 6 Day 10:-Kishtwar-Doda-Batote-Patnitop.
Day 11:-Patnitop-Udhampur-Mansar.
Day 12:-Mansar-Surinsar-Jammu.

Jammu: Historical city of the Dogra rulers, on the banks of river Tawi. Named after "Jahambu Lochan".
Rajouri: 150k from Jammu,Ancient "Rajapuri", the land of the kings, on the foot hills of the Pir Panjal range.
Bhudil: 54 from Rajouri, located inthe beautiful Ans river valley.
Reasi: Home to the famous dogra warrior, General Jorawar Singh Khaluria. Famous for "Bhimgarh Fort".
Katra: Abode of Mata Saron Wali, 76 lakh devotes visit annually, second most visited shrine after Tirupatti.
Udhampur: Head quaters of the Northern Command.
Ramnagar: Situted on the banks of river Kud, famous for Purana,Nawa & Sheesh Mahal, palace complex.
Gand Top: 50kms from Ramnagar, a strategic hill pass on the way from Ramnagar to Dudu.
Mantalai: 30 kms from Patnitop, once the hang out of Dharindra Bharamchari. Camping site.
Sudhmahadev:Famous for Shiv Temple.
Chenani:The gateway town to Dudu valley. Mantalai is 30 from here.
Kud:Busy market place on the highway NH1A, famous for sweets. 8 kms from Patnitop.
Patnitop:Famous Hill station, dense deodar forests and cool breeze.
Batote:The turnung point from the national highway 1A, to Kishtwar. Kishtwar is 65 from here.
Kishtwar:In ancient times as "Kishtwada", it is one of the four places in the world, where 'saffron' is grown.
Gulabgarh (Paddar):Land of the Sapphire mines & 'Gucchi", a herb sold at the price of gold.
Sansari: The border of J&K and Himachal Pradesh, 'Sansari nallah' is the divide.
Pangi:The remote tribal valley of himachal. For 5 months, it is only acessible from the Jammu side.
Mansar: A bird sanctury, largest lake of the Jammu Shivaliks, Surinsar & Sanasar, being the other two.
Surinsar:A sanctury and a sanctum for the local and visiting bird species.
