*VOLUNTEERS NEEDED- Please let me know if you are available. M 11/23- Volunteers needed at 11am to help children with costumes for our dress rehearsal at 11:30am.
Tu 11/24- Volunteers are needed in the morning at these times: 8:55-10:15 to help with centers, 10:15-10:30 to set up the feast, and 10:30-10:50 to help children with costumes. Performance starts at 11am.
*THANKSGIVING PERFORMANCE COSTUMES. The students made Pilgrim and Native American costumes in class. Each student has a Pilgrim and a Native American costume and will wear one costume for the Dress Rehearsal on Monday, Nov. 23rd and the other costume for the Performance on Tuesday, Nov. 24th. Students will choose their costumes and I will email their costume choices on Friday. Although we have made the outer portion of the costume, for a better visual effect, please dress your child in the following: Pilgrim costume - all black (girls can wear dresses or skirts and boys can wear long black pants with long white socks pulled up to the knee over the pants). Native American costume – all brown or fall colors (girls can wear hair in two braids). Since we will take class pictures in our costumes, please no jeans. Thank you for your cooperation.
*DRESS REHEARSAL. The dress rehearsal will take place on Monday, Nov. 23rd. This performance is for Lincoln students. Due to limited space, parents are not allowed at this performance. Students attend school during their regular schedule. Please look at the schedule to see what your child will be wearing that day.
*THANKSGIVING PERFORMANCE. The performance for family and friends will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 24th at 11:00am in the Multi Purpose Room, located to the right of the office. Parking permits will go home in this week’s MESH. Please read the guidelines carefully before parking. All students attend school from 8:55am-12:05pm. Please make arrangements with after school drivers and day care providers, including letting them know if you will pick up your child that day. The performance will begin promptly at 11:00am and will be followed by a children’s feast in our classroom. Please look at the schedule to see what your child will be wearing that day.
*THANKSGIVING BREAK. There is no school Wednesday, Nov. 25th – Friday, Nov. 27th in celebration of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Enjoy the spending time with family and friends.
*CONFERENCES. Conferences will take place M 12/7, TH 12/10, and F 12/11 and Appointment requests and parent-input forms go home in the MESH this week. Please return both forms ASAP.
*SHARING. Children’s Choice: Students may bring in any object of their choice, provided it is not fragile, expensive, or too large to fit in a backpack.
I look forward to seeing you next Tuesday.
