At the River of Life Christian Church

A greeting, from the Pastor of River of Life Christian Church...

Take a look at the symbol in the top left corner of this page. That's an interesting looking symbol isn't it? It's called a "Chalice" (a communion cup), and  has the X-shaped cross of St. Andrew superimposed. This is the "Official Symbol" of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), a part of which is Logansport's River of Life Christian Church. We want to use this website as a means for you to get to know us better, and consider joining us as a member.
That chalice symbol, which is red, represents our faith in the vitality, spirit, and sacrifice of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. The symbolism of his Last Supper is enacted at each of our worship services. The cross of St. Andrew reflects the emphasis on evangelism that Andrew stressed in the Bible. This cross also focuses on the Scott-Irish roots of those early Christian leaders who began the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) movement on the American Frontier in the late 1790's. Our church grew out of a zeal to share Christ's gospel with everyone, and to help all persons in their growth in faith. We're glad to meet you!
