Upcoming Riverfront: Pat Lawson, Gib Shell, Randy RatliffFriday, November 13th, 8:00 p.m. at The Writers PlacePat Lawson taught English at Kansas City Kansas Community College for many years. She has published non-fiction, poetry, and fiction. Her stories have been finalists for the Julia Peterkin Award and the Glimmertrain Short Fiction award. A new story is forthcoming in The Chariton Review. She serves on the Riverfront Readings Committee. Her stories appear in Why We Love our Cats and Dogs (co-authored with Phil Miller). Gib Shell graduated from Emporia State University with a degree in English. While there he studied versification with Keith Denniston. He has used his experience as a poet and life-long singer/guitarist to become a songwriter. He is currently recording his first cd release. Randy Ratliff is a member of the Collaborators.
