Welcome to Stamford RiverCare
The Stamford RiverCare Group was set up in 2004 to care for the Stamford stretch of the Welland River.
The Group aims to:
- Raise the profile of the River Welland with respect to its natural value, cultural heritage and as a public amenity.
- Encourage members of the public to appreciate the River Welland and surrounding floodplain in Stamford.
- Support the maintenance and scientific study of the river and Meadows wherever possible.
- Promote and practice sustainability at all times.
The Group is made up of local volunteers and would welcome new recruits and interest from other groups.
