In the interest of social responsibility . . .

Risk and Risk 2000 provide opportunities for testing strategies, learning geography, and having fun.  Real warfare, however, is never fun; in the author's opinion, war should be used only as an absolute last resort.  To witness the gruesome reality of warfare and the physical and mental anguish it creates, visit an online collection of casualty photographs.

In Risk 2000, natural resources are continuously generated throughout the game.  In reality, though, the Earth's supply of resources, including metals, fuels, fresh water, clean air, and genetic diversity, is limited.  The following organizations are dedicated to preserving our planet so that future generations can enjoy the bounties provided by a clean and healthy environment.  Please support their efforts to ensure a bright future for all people: Environmental Defense, Natural Resources Defense Council, Sierra Club
