Earthquake

This is the Earthquake that I remember and grew up with. This blue outfit is a great representation of what I played with back in the golden days of Hasbro. The head and body are the same as his last release but this time there is no chest hair. Not even painted on chest hair which is a bit of a bummer. You will have to excuse me a bit on this review since I received the set before Christmas I have forgotten which accessories go where so bear with me. He comes with a tag belt which is appropriate. I’m typically not a big fan of re releases but this is one I was looking forward to due to the attire. You will notice that the logo work even goes on the back of the singlet. A decent fig for your collection.

Bob Sparkplug Holly

Am I the only one that remembers him also being called Thurman Sparky Plug? Any ways. This was one of the figs that I was really looking forward to. The attire is great though it is missing the “new generation WWF logo.” His head scan is great with the long hair. I am really surprised that we didn’t see this figure much earlier in the series. His tights are complete with checkered décor and the knee pads really look great (accept for a few glitches in the printing). They even have his number 15 and back logos as well. The torso fits well as far as I’m concerned. My one gripe on this figure is the accessory. He came with the hardcore title. Not only is that belt so horribly inaccurate by itself but that version of Holly was not hardcore. He should have came with a tag belt if anything. Still a great fig and I’m happy that Jakks made it.

Chainsaw Charlie

This has to be my favorite figure in the set. It’s your typical Terry Funk head scan but the stocking cap authenticates it perfectly. He is in a red shirt with painted on suspenders. His shirt is the short sleeve mold but they painted it as a 3/4 length shirt. His hands are those horrid rocky taped fists which should only be used for beating meet. Yes I did just say that. Back to the figure. The pants are the original mankind sweatpants mold but they look really well as jeans. In fact if I remember correctly Funk wore stretchy waist jeans when he did this gimmick. He also has sneakers on. He comes with a chainsaw and what could be more fitting. In fact in all my years of collecting with Jakks this is the first time that I have got this accessories. Still I don’t like it. It is way to thin just doesn’t really look like a chainsaw to me. The figure on the other hand is golden.

Matt Hardy

Well we got a Matt to match Jeff in CS21. They used the IE Brood head for this Matt which was nice to have for a change. But honestly the head is not my favorite if you ask me. The left ear looks like a … well … for decency purposes I won’t mention what it looks like but lets just say its creepy. His hair is molded on his face and is just I don’t know the term “Cousin It” comes to mind. The attire is typical Hardy pants with a blue black shirt that just looks odd to me. Not my favorite figure of him but at least it’s a bit different.

Andy Kauffman

I’m the king, I’m the king, I’m the king of Memphis Tennessee…. Now for some reasons why CS22 was the most boring bunch of repaints ever. Now Earthquake was okay but this figure wasn’t really necessary. The only difference from his 2 pack release is that he came with a robe. Well it was reason enough for me to open him. The robe really is nice but not necessarily worth buying the figure for. The figure is the exact same except he doesn’t have the old lady hands. His hands look all big and gangly instead. And instead of black shorts they gave him a dark navy blue shade. He comes with that stretcher and the really cool neck brace. A good figure, but if you already have an Andy I wouldn’t’ worry about picking it up. This will surly be in a future RSC sale for 3 bucks.

LJN Eddie Guerero

If you are actually reading this now then I think you for listening to what I have to say. Most don’t actually read this far. And if you are still with me then you have likely read my reviews before and know my opinion on the LJN style figures. With that being said it looks good for an ljn. Except for the fact that his stomach is completely flat. I mean come on. PIECE OF CRAP!!! NEXT!

And yes, it’s available on eBay of course: http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/ringskirts

Stone Cold Steve Austin

Oh my. Well I usually leave the most worthless figure for last which is typically the LJN. But not this time. Here is another blatant re release!!! The only difference I can tell from his past figs is his vest. Can anyone else see any difference and give me a reason to open this repeating piece of crap!!! If you didn’t get a chance to pick up an SCSA figure then congratulations but for me I’m just a bit fed up. I mean you would think that Jakks was running out of signed talent for the series and it was not going to end ion 2010 by the way they are cranking out useless rereleases!

Mr. McMahon

.Another figure I’m a bit bitter about but I’m sure many of you were happy with it. I had purchased a custom of this fig months before the protos were ever released, so I’m not quite sure if I’m going to try to sell this or what. So its moc at the moment. I do realize it is the first ra style Vince in wrestling gear so that’s good. But calling him a classic figure is like releasing Dolf Ziggler in the CS line. Sure it would a cool figure but it’s not a classic. I would have much rather them made Vince’s hair dark like in the proto pictures, as this would have been the Vince that was still coloring his hair and trying to look young and get in the way of Stone Cold. For many I’m sure this was a decent figure, but for me it was a waste.
