Mattel Wrestlemania Heritage

Wrestle Mania Heritage

Randy Orton

This is Randy’s first release in Mattel form. The figure represents his older look with the fewer tattoos that he had earlier in his career. He features his black trunks with red designs. He has small style knee pads which are good for flexibility. His tattoos look great. Over all it’s a nice figure. My only complaint is that the head scan seems to be the same as his upcoming current style figures.

John Cena

Well with the flood of new Mattel Figures to choose from I had to make a financial decision not to get every single figure I came across. So I chose the Heritage version of Cena over his basic version. Cena has a fully ripped torso and an all business head scan. He is featured in his attire that he wore at Wrestle Mania 21. He has jean shorts with a detailed belt. Notice the molded on knee pads that are just showing from underneath his shorts. Very good detail. I like this shorts mold as it feels more real than the one Jakks gave us. They even gave the rap star some underwear to show over top of his shorts around his waist. He has plain black sneakers with now detail on them at all. The shoes however look less like sporty sneakers, and more like dress shoes. He has “Chain Gang Soldier” wrist bands on his right arm and a WWE throwback block logo wristband and head band on his left arm. He also has a green shamrock logoed wristband on his left arm. I haven’t had much of a chance to throw down with the champ and his new shorts mold but it looks fun. At the same price point as the Basic line it’s a nice alternate version to have available.

Edge

This edge represents his appearance at Wrestle Mania 21. For this reason we only have one tattoo on edge over his left shoulder. The head scan looks like a modern Edge to me but regardless the scan looks good. The one problem that I see is that the head scan is all one hard piece. This includes the hair. Unlike Jakks who used rubber hair, this hard style make sit more difficult to pose the head. He has larger elbow pads which are more restrictive than the smaller style featured on Batista and Triple H. His boots have Edge logos and his tights have a small design on the front and huge edge head logos on the sides. This is the first figure that I have where you can really get a good look at the Mattel knee design. Unlike Jakks, this knee mold has a clear knee cap attached to the bottom part of the leg that covers the knee joint when straight.
