 Rinconkid Battle Bracelets where originally called survival bracelets and commonly hand braided by the Boy Scouts as a part of learning outdoor camping skills. This practice was taken up by the American military especially those deployed to the Middle East who subsequently refered to them as Battle Bracelets and/or Deployment Bracelets and regularly made and wore them in the field.
