Biography:
 For the past 15 years I have been a Library Media Specialist in McHenry School Dist. 15. Currently I am at Landmark Elementary, which is a multiage school, operating on a continuous learning calendar. Our school is configured in 3 levels; K-1, 2-3, and 4-5. My Media Center operates on a mostly flexible schedule, with each day looking different than the last. I feel very lucky to be in a school where collaboration is a major component of what we do. It is one of the features that makes this school and staff unique. I have a Masters in IT from NIU and a Masters in Ed. Leadership from North Park. I am also ceritied K-12 as a Library Information Specialist. Before becoming a Library Media Specialist, I was a 2nd grade teacher for 6 years in Johnsburg, Il. Integrating technology into the curriculum is part of my job, which is why I came back to NIU this semester to take this class on Web 2.0 tools. I hope to use many of these tools with my staff and students in the coming years. |
