Charitable Giving

100% of the Registration Fees go towards Missions, Local or International!

Half the proceeds go towards putting shoes on needy childrens feet. In 2009 McKissick Elementary school was chosen.

In 2008, Mission Action Challenge (M.A.C.) cyclists raised over $5,000 for Hope Unlimited – a missions organization committed to the physical, education, and spiritual needs of Brazil’s street children and  5-6-7 Club – a local Christian Men’s Ministry for boys who need a positive Christian role model in their lives.

In 2009, the M.A.C. cyclists raised over $6,000 to provide 300 pair of shoes for local Title 1 elementary school children and Hope Unlimited

This year the M.A.C. riders will be raising money again for Hope Unlimited as well as New Shoes for Kids – which provides brand new top quality shoes for under privileged kids in the local area.  This will boost self esteem and tell the kids of Pickens County that God loves them!  100% of all registration fees and donations will go to both organizations.

This is why we ride – so that young people may know Jesus and realize that someone cares for them!    Local Ride – Global IMPACT!

This year, in addition to providing New Shoes for Kids we are building on our success by partnering with another local school that will be educating kids with maintaining a healthier lifestyle.  Through fitness evaluations the kids will learn to rate their progress.  A bike will be donated to the student with the most success to promote a continued wellness & fitness program.

In past years we have averaged 60-100 cyclists.  This year we are anticipating over 100+ cyclists!

Mission:  Transforming the lives of children at mortal risk, providing them and their future generations a productive future and eternal hope.

History: Hope’s vision for Brazil was launched in 1991 when thousands of vulnerable street children were being systematically killed by gunmen largely hired by local business leaders. Their purpose for these killings was to eradicate a “public nuisance”— street children.

Model:

Currently, over 1250 children are served annually:

·         250 in residential programs

·         400 in day programs

·         150 in graduate programs and family outreach programs

·         450 at preschool campus near Campinas

Our recipe for success has the right ingredients…

·         The right PERSPECTIVE: Christ-centered and biblically based

·         The right PROGRAM: Rescue, Transformation, Reintegration

·         The right PEOPLE: House Parents and Staff who are qualified, professional— and committed Christians

·         The right PLACE: Beautiful rural youth ranches— away from the streets

·         Plus PERSEVERANCE to keep fighting until each lonely and desperate child is rescued!
